I took my Atlas cross sport in because I received a recall notice for the engine cover. The following day I checked to see the completed work and discovered the engine cover was not replaced just removed. On Monday morning 03/10/24 at approximately 8:30am I called into the service department and the phone representative said she would leave a message with the advisor because he was not at his station. I was assured someone would return my call later in the day but to no avail. I called back same day before 5:00pm and had a repeat scenario. On Tuesday morning a 11:00a I called and spoke with a member of the parts department and explained my situation that I was concerned about my engine cover not being replaced due to the recall notice. He explained there was only a recall to remove the cover but in the near future VW Corporation may issue a second recall to replace the cover. I understood, it was that simple. A little communication at the completion of the service would have saved a lot of anxiety. I look forward to a replacement engine cover.
